Why is #MoveInMiami happening when the Class of 2024 isn’t actually moving yet?
Due to the changing dynamics of the COVID-19 virus, Miami University adapted a phased approach for fall semester. While this fall's move-in date shifted to the week of Sept. 14, classes for the Oxford and regional campuses still begin on Aug. 17 and will be held remotely until Sept. 21. #MoveInMiami's motto is, "They unpack. We give back." While the unpacking looks different this year, Miamians can still support Miami students by giving back to the area of the university most meaningful to them. Now, perhaps more than ever, this support helps our students navigate these challenging times.
